During the event, Lipton will discuss what it is like to cover President Donald J. Trump, his sons, members of Trump’s Cabinet and their families and what he describes as their extraordinary pursuit of personal financial profit over the past two years. His coverage has unfolded during what Lipton has experienced as an era of unrivaled efforts by the FBI and the Department of Justice to intimidate the news media. Those efforts included subpoenas issued this summer targeting Lipton, his wife and his Times colleagues.
