BATON ROUGE - Murphy's bar owner Ty Hingle says a T-shirt design poking fun at an LSU rival will not be used after concern that it featured a homophobic slur.nbsp;Murphyrsquo;s created a T-shirt "intended as a lighthearted jab" at the Texas AM Aggies, Hingle said, an SEC opponent that will face off against the Tigers in Death Valley on Sept. 26.nbsp;"While the wording was not meant to reference anything controversial, we recognize the layout was not thought through carefully enough and unintentionally caused concern," he sent in an email to WBRZ.nbsp;Photos of the shirts were posted on Murphy's social media pages on Monday promoting the bar's T-shirt night.nbsp;Hingle said he apologizes for any misunderstanding and said the bar is "committed to providing a fun, welcoming, and safe environment for college students."Permalink| Comments ...read more read less
