(KRON) -- Governor Newsom continues to drop clues about whether he plans to run for U.S. President in 2028. In an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, Newsom said that he won't run for president if former Vice President Kamala Harris does. This summer, he made several trips to South Carolina, which will host the first presidential primary in 2028. During his most recent visit earlier this month, people were selling "Newsom 2028" buttons. Newsom told Tapper that it wouldn't make sense for him to run if Harris ran for the same position.
