Three people, including an 8-year-old boy, were in critical condition after being rescued from a fire Monday morning in the Portage Park neighborhood. Crews responded to the fire in a home in the 4000 block of North Austin Avenue about 6:15 a.m. Inside, they found the boy, a 34-year-old man and a 17 -year-old boy, Chicago police said in a statement.
