On Sunday at 8:21 a.m. an updated flash flood warning was released by the National Weather Service in effect until 11:15 a.m. for Rockland County."At 8:21 a.m., Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly," adds the weather service.
