More than a dozen San Francisco firefighters were deployed to help battle the Lucas Fire Saturday, according to the fire department.   Authorities said 13 firefighters, a battalion chief and four type six wildland engines were deployed to the Lucas Fire. According to Cal Fire, the Lucas Fire has scorched 3,846 acres and is 15% contained. The blaze was reported on Thursday morning and prompted evacuations in Lake and Mendocino counties. The areas MNF-E016, MNF-E018, MNF-E019, UPP-E023, UPP-E025, UPP-E026, UPP-E027 and UPP-E030 in Lake County, along with the MEN-2POT08-B area in Mendocino County are under evacuation orders, according to Cal Fire. In Lake County, the areas MNF-E012, MNF-E013, MNF-E015, MNF-E017, MNF-E021, UPP-E028, UPP-E031, UPP-E032, UPP-E035 and UPP-E038, along with the Mendocino County areas MEN-2POT08-A and MEN-2UKV28 are under evacuation warning, Cal Fire said. An official evacuation shelter staffed by the American Red Cross Northern California Chapter opened at 6 p.m. Friday at Lake County Fairgrounds – Fritch Hall, located at 401 Martin Street in Lakeport, officials said.
