UPDATE:5:45 p.m.: The Florida Highway Patrol now says the driver of the car has died. The report says it was a 28-year-old female from Orlando City.FHP says preliminary information shows around 1:40 p.m., the car was traveling i
n the inside eastbound lane when it went off the road into the median, hitting several trees before stopping and catching fire.The report says the driver was taken to HCA Gadsden Emergency Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.The 15-year-old female passenger was taken to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare with minor injuries.The Florida Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by Gadsden County EMS and Gadsden County Fire Rescue.Roadblocks were in place during the investigation but have since been removed, and all lanes are back open.3:30 p.m.: FHP now says only the outside lanes, both EB and WB, are blocked; inside lanes in both directions are open.Original:Two people are in critical condition after hitting a tree on I-10 Saturday afternoon.The Florida Highway Patrol says it happened around 1:45 p.m. near the Chattahoochee exit, causing both sides of the road to be impacted.
