Expect mostly sunny skies with highs reaching the lower 90s. South to southwest winds run around 5–10 mph. Increasing humidity could push afternoon heat index values into the upper 90s to around 100 degrees. An isolated afternoon shower or thunderstorm is possible, but most locations should remain dry. TUESDAY NIGHT Partly cloudy, warm and humid with lows in the upper 60s to around 70 degrees. Shower and thunderstorm chances increase somewhat overnight as the next disturbance approaches. WEDNESDAY Hot and humid conditions continue with highs reaching the lower to middle 90s. Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds with scattered showers and thunderstorms becoming possible, especially later in the day. Southwest winds remain around 5–10 mph. Heat index values could again approach 100 degrees during the afternoon before any storms develop. 7 DAY OUTLOOK Sunday stays warm and humid with a few scattered afternoon or evening storms before a weak front brings a brief shot of cooler and less humid air Monday. Highs fall into the middle to upper 70s Monday with mainly dry conditions. The cooler weather does not last long. Temperatures surge back into the lower 90s Tuesday and lower to middle 90s Wednesday as humidity increases. Afternoon heat index values could reach the upper 90s to around 100 degrees both days. Rain chances also begin increasing Tuesday night before becoming more noticeable Wednesday into Thursday. Exactly when the most widespread storms arrive remains uncertain, but the middle of the week currently looks like the wettest portion of the forecast.
