A 15-year-old girl was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of a man who was pushed from a moving Chicago Transit Authority Red Line train Monday. Police originally thought the man had jumped off a moving Red Line train, but it was later determined that he was pushed of f the train. The man struck the electrified third rail and became incapacitated and was later hit by a moving train. He was pronounced dead at the scene. After a subsequent investigation, it was determined the man was actually pushed from the train by three unknown individuals during an altercation onboard. A 15-year-old girl was taken into custody and charged with the following: first-degree murder, mob action, two counts of murder – other forcible felony and aggravated battery of a transit employee. No additional arrests had been made as of Saturday morning. The teenager was apprehended on Friday. Additional details weren’t immediately available.
