RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Greater Richmond Transit Company’s (GRTC) Downtown Transfer Station is set to reopen weeks after a crash that injured several people caused a temporary closure. GRTC posted the update to Facebook, saying that the station will reopen on Saturday, Sept. 12 after pavement and concrete improvements have been completed. The improvements include reinforcing areas around the bus bays that experience high levels of wear due to daily bus traffic. The transit company said all transfers will move from the 9th Street temporary stops back to the Downtown Transfer Statement.
