Football season is quickly approaching—the Commanders’ first home game is on September 27. Here’s what to eat and drink if you’ll be at Northwest Stadium (1600 Ring Rd., Landover) to cheer them on.  New in 2026   Ben’s Chili Bowl (Sections 124, 415, and 441) At the Northwest Stadium outp ost of this DC institution, find generously spiced chili laden with chopped onions and shredded cheese, or atop a pile of fries with nacho cheese sauce.   Bruster’s Ice Cream (Sections 135 and 403) This local chain will serve a rotating shortlist of ice cream flavors, including “The Commander”—a red-and-gold swirled scoop of mango and dragonfruit sorbets. Capo Deli (Sections 320 and 405) This decade-old Italian-style deli with three DC locations will serve overstuffed Italian subs on puffy seeded rolls.     Fuzzies Burgers (Section 319) The Baltimore-based burger pop-up debuted at Nationals Park this year, and now it’s coming to Landover. Try “The Fuzzy” burger made with prime dry-aged Angus beef, plus a round of dill-seasoned pickleback fries with garlicky ranch.   Los Cinco Tacos (Section 320) Chef Jose Candelero’s deeply savory beef barbacoa is piled onto corn tortillas and zig-zagged with classic taqueria salsas. Expect syrupy peach cobbler packed with warming spices and topped with vanilla ice cream, and layered banana and vanilla puddings finished with vanilla-wafer crumbles.   Stuggy’s (420) For a taste of Baltimore, go for this family-owned restaurant’s famed hot dog, which is topped with jumbo lump crab, macaroni and cheese, and Old Bay. Or just grab a soft pretzel stuffed with crab dip.   Whitlow’s (341) Unsurprisingly, there’s no shortage of hot dogs to be found at Northwest Stadium. At this DC bar spinoff, you’ll find one loaded with jalapeño beer cheese, bacon, crispy onions, and sweet-and-spicy sauce. There’s also a half-smoke with zesty chili, coleslaw, onion, and yellow mustard.   New Stadium Concessions   Mainstays include smashburgers from Beltway Bites (Sections 107 and 129), hand-breaded tenders from Championship Chicken (Section 115), and jumbo Bavarian pretzels at Fan Fare (Sections 102, 417, and 426)—but there are also several new options to look out for. Photo courtesy of Levy and the Washington Commanders.   DC BBQ Pocket (Section 120) Housemade pastry dough is filled with 17-hour smoked brisket, beans, half smoke, and provolone and mozzarella cheeses. Northwest Stadium executive chef Ashley Knight-Williams describes it as “the best cheese pull you’ll ever see here in the stadium.”   DMV Crab Cage (Section 137) The draw here is the crab-stuffed (and crab-shaped) pretzel, which boasts creamy lemon/tarragon crab filling and garlic butter, along with melted mozzarella, provolone, and parmesan cheeses.    Washington Legends Hot Dogs (Section 131) Throughout football season, this hot dog stand will showcase a rotation of franks designed by former Commanders players. Currently in the lineup are former running back Brian Mitchell’s “Bayou Return Dog”—an andouille sausage with Creole mustard, grilled onions, and pepperjack—as well as a pulled-pork-topped dog from former wide receiver Santana Moss.   Smoked Turkey Leg (Section 307) Premium ticket holders with access to Northwest Stadium’s Branson Lounge can watch the game while gnawing on a massive, house-smoked whole turkey leg, which will be served alongside baked beans and crab chips. A sushi roll is filled with blue crab, avocado, flying fish roe, and spicy corn puffs, then pushed out of a Commanders-branded tube.   Returning Favorites   DMV Crab Rolls (Section 141) Bowie’s destination for crab-stuffed egg rolls is back on Commanders turf this season. You’ll also find jerk-chicken quesadillas, grilled Mumbo shrimp, and more.   Paisano’s Pizza (Section 445) The local pizza chainlet will sling personal-sized pies. Many of the stadium’s concessions, including souvenir popcorn and jumbo Bavarian pretzels, will also be available here.   Pardon My Cheesesteak (Section 120) This national chain is bringing cheesesteaks doused in chipotle, Buffalo, and cheddar sauces, plus cheesesteak nachos.   Roaming Rooster (Section 411) Find fried chicken sandwiches, tenders, and quarters served with coleslaw, and don’t forget to add the DC chain’s tasty honey butter.   Swizzler Crispy Chicken + Smash Burgers (Section 447) Navy Yard’s excellent burger joint will offer a couple cheeseburgers, plus crispy chicken sandwiches.   Craft Cocktails and Local Brews Espresso martinis, stadium style. Offerings include the “Raise Hail Refresher,” with vodka, pineapple and lime juices, Starry, and a grenadine float; an espresso martini with with Aspen Vodka, Stumptown cold brew, and coffee liqueur; and ranch water with Casamigos tequila, lime, Starry, and blue Curaçao.  Familiar local beers and ciders will be sold in cans across the stadium. Brewers include Bold Rock, DC Brau, Devil’s Backbone, Port City, and Solace. Fans can also down $5 cans of Bud Light in Legends Plaza, outside sections 131 through 134.
