(BCN) -- An Alameda County man died over the weekend after allegedly being stabbed by his adult son who was trying to protect his mother during "a family disturbance," according to law enforcement officials. At 1:30 p.m., sheriff's deputies were sent to a home in the 1800 block of Parsons Avenue in Castro Valley. When they got to the scene, they found a 51-year-old man who had been stabbed. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died. His name was not immediately released. Deputies arrested his 20-year-old son on suspicion of murder after he allegedly intervened "in a physical altercation" between his parents and stabbed his father, according to sheriff's officials.
