PIERRE, SD – Passenger activity at Pierre Regional Airport continues to show strong growth in 2026. The airport recorded 1,599 enplanements in August, bringing the year-to-date total to 11,902. That is a 36.4% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Every month in 2026 has outperformed the c orresponding month in 2025, showing consistent growth throughout the year. Through August, Pierre’s 2026 enplanement total is also the highest recorded during the same period in recent years.
