No one was hurt but several people were displaced after an extra alarm blaze tore through a West Town apartment building early Wednesday. Fire officials responded to the fire around 2:40 a.m. in the 1400 block of West Grand Avenue and it elevated to a two-alarm fire roughly 20 minutes later, accordi ng to the Chicago Fire Department. The fire was eventually extinguished just after 4:30 a.m. No injuries were reported but the Red Cross was called to assist with displacements, though fire officials don’t know exactly how many residents were impacted.
