GARY, Ind. (WRTV)  A Chicago man is fighting for his life after crashing into a parked semi-truck on I-80/94.According to the Indiana State Police Lowell Post, troopers responded to the crash around 3:30 a.m. Sep. 8 on I-80/94 eastbound at the Burr Street exit in Gary, Indiana. A preliminary investigation revealed that a semi carrying Amazon packages was parked between the ramp lane and the interstate travel lanes. The driver, Ahmed Taher Hussein Al Subari, 31, of Dearborn, Michigan, was reportedly standing outside his truck, when another semi-truck sideswiped it.The driver of the moving semi, identified as Garbiel Corral, 33, of Chicago, was ejected from his vehicle and was seriously hurt. He was taken to Northlake Hospital, where his condition remains uncertain. Al Subari, the driver of the parked semi, was not injured.ISP says the eastbound lanes of I-80/94 were shut down for at least 8 hours to allow troopers to investigate the crash and clean up the highway, but have since reopened.
