A young child was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Rockwall County, according to fire officials. The crash happened along the 1000 block of Smith Acres in the city of Fate, about 30 minutes northeast of Dallas. Fate Fire said the child was flown by CareFli te to a hospital.
