BATON ROUGE mdash; As college football returns to the region, local law enforcement has issued several warnings regarding drones as well as expected traffic in the area on game days.nbsp;According to the Louisiana State Police, a No Drone Zone is in effect for all LSU home games at Tiger Stadium. T he zone prohibits drone use within a 3-nautical-mile radius of the stadium and up to 3,000 feet above ground level. The zone goes into effect one hour before kick-off and ends one hour after the game concludes.nbsp;State Troopers, along with the LSU Police, will be actively monitoring the area for unauthorized drone activity. The operation of drones is also prohibited on all areas of Southern University's campus.nbsp;Ahead of Saturday's games, the Baton Rouge Police Department also warned residents to expect contra-flow traffic around LSU and Southern University towards the end of games. Drivers were encouraged to give themselves extra time and were reminded that roads onto campus usually shut down during the third or fourth quarters.nbsp;Main roads expected to be affected near LSU included River Road, Nicholson Drive, and Highland Road, while roads near Southern included Mills Avenue, Harding Boulevard, Old Scenic Highway and Scenic Highway.nbsp;To help mitigate traffic on game days, LSU Athletics developed a custom Waze game-day traffic map. Additionally, drivers who park in the paid reserved lots must have their hang tags visible on vehicles at all times or risk being towed or ticketed.
