San Jose police Friday announced the arrests of eight people for their alleged involvement in a June shooting that killed a man and injured another. The suspects were arrested for their alleged parts in a shooting on June 28 near the intersection of North Market and West Santa Clara streets. O ne man, 24-year-old Anthony Contreras, died at the scene and another was taken to a hospital and listed in stable condition. The suspects were identified by police officials as Izaiah Hernandez, 18, Ezequiel Mercado, 20, Jaden Diaz-Mejia, 18, Fabian Diaz-Gomez, 18, and Johnny Picazo, 36, who were all booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of murder, along with an unnamed 17-year-old suspect. Additionally, Sabastian Saldana, 34, and Nevaeh Luna-Rosales, 18, were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of crimes related to being accessories after the fact, according to police.
