RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Customers contacting the Richmond Department of Public Utilities (DPU) may notice longer wait times Tuesday afternoon while staff completes a working session. On Tuesday, Sept. 8 from noon to 2 p.m., DPU billing and customer service staff will participate in a working sessi on led by Chief Administrative Officer Odie Donald, II, according to a press release from city officials. The session will focus on strengthening internal processes and improving the customer experience, the Sept. 2 release said. Officials said that during the two-hour period, customers may experience longer wait times when contacting DPU for billing or customer service support. Normal staffing levels will resume at 2 p.m. and continue for the rest of Tuesday.
