The family of a pregnant woman hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash in Nampa on Monday is identifying her as 19-year-old Kyara Engelhart.Kyaras aunt shared her name and photos with Idaho News 6 as the family continues to navigate the aftermath of the crash. Friends and family say Kyara was excited to become a mother and was looking forward to welcoming her baby.Those who know her describe Kyara as beautiful, loving and someone who could light up a room.Her current condition has not been confirmed by her family, and additional details about her health or her baby's health have not been released. The crash happened Monday, Aug. 31, at the intersection of Middleton Road and Lake Lowell Avenue in Nampa. Police initially reported that three people were hurt. Friends who have known Kyara for years say they want people to know more about her beyond the crash. Hailey Hennessy says she met Kyara when they were five years old, and the two remained friends for about 15 years.I met Kyara when I was 5... Weve connected ever since we met, Hennessy said.Another longtime friend, Lilah Verlander, says their friendship also began when they were children. She was a bright person. And we all loved her so much, Verlander said.Courtnee Smith says she met Kyara after Kyara moved to Nevada during their freshman year of high school.She was new to town. I wasn't the social butterfly, so we just kind of clicked, Smith said.Smith says Kyara quickly became a regular at her home and that their friendship eventually felt more like family.She was at my house every weekend. Shes lived with me, Smith said. Friends describe Kyara as bubbly, likable and someone who could light up a room.They also say becoming a mother was something Kyara had dreamed about.Her whole dream was to be a mom, Smith said.Friends say Kyara has faced challenges throughout her life but always found a way to keep moving forward.
