CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The region's annual soccer tournament is returning to Chesterfield County next month with family fun and food trucks. The 2026 Community Cup will take place in early October at River City Sportsplex to celebrate community, culture and connection, organizers said. Hosted through a regional partnership among Chesterfield, Henrico and Hanover counties with the city of Richmond, Virginia State Police and the National Guard, the free event will feature a soccer tournament, food trucks, live entertainment and more. Organizers said the event "brings multicultural communities and public safety agencies together to build relationships, celebrate diversity and strengthen connections across the region." There will be activities for all ages. Families can also visit an expanded Kids Zone, first responder vehicles and information booths. Police officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel and other public safety professionals will be at the event to provide more information about their work and services.
