INDIANAPOLIS (WRTV) The Trump Administration has announced a $120 million investment to expand healthcare in rural areas of the state.The money comes through the Rural Health Transformation Program. It will be spread across eig ht regions of Indiana.According to a release from the Department of Health Human Services, the investment aims to improve maternal and infant health, expand primary and behavioral health care, and build up the rural health workforce.Other goals include mental health and crisis response, chronic disease prevention for conditions like diabetes and obesity, and food and nutrition programs.This funding is a major step forward in our commitment to making health care affordable and accessible for all Hoosiers, Gov. Mike Braun said.We are putting resources directly into rural communities to strengthen the health workforce, modernize infrastructure, expand access, and bring care closer to home," Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F.
