Missing Air Force veteran, father found in pipe in Fort Worth
Sep 02, 2026
Police said two teens were wandering around an old energy plant property on North Main Street in Fort Worth last month when they came across the body of 39-year-old Adam McClure White.
White was an Air Force veteran, son, father and friend, according to his family.
Lorelle Podchalski told NBC
5 she was friends with White.
“He was the best friend anyone could have,” Podchalski said. “A good man lost his life.”
Podchalski said she was shocked to hear that after he went missing in early June, his body was found in a pipe several months later on August 19.
“How could such a good guy end up in a pipe?” Poldchalski questioned.
There are questions that don’t have clear answers yet. White’s family says he was at the courthouse in Fort Worth trying to get custody of his 5-year-old son. They were waiting for him to return home, and he never showed, his mother told NBC 5.
“The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death,” the Fort Worth Police Department said. “At this time, Homicide detectives do not suspect foul play. The investigation remains ongoing.”
Now, White is remembered as a talented engineer who loved everyone around him.
“He brought smiles to everyone’s faces all the time,” Podchalski said.
White’s family is now working to get his body back home to where they live, in Florida.
