Travis Kelce explains why he and Taylor Swift chose MSG as their wedding venue

Travis Kelce is finally spilling the tea on his wedding with Taylor Swift, including why the star couple chose Madison Square Garden as their wedding venue on July 3.
Despite inviting roughly 1,000 guests, many of whom were high-profile, Kelce said the couple wanted a space that felt private in t
he middle of New York City.
“We wanted to do it somewhere where we could have an intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions,” the Kansas City Chiefs star said on Wednesday’s episode of his “New Heights” podcast. “We needed it to be a private feel. MSG went above and beyond to give us that.”
The couple also enforced a strict no-phones policy, something Kelce said changed the energy inside the room.
“That was so cool to see how everybody interacted — with no phones comes people not having to be on guard,” Kelce said. “It makes everyone be in the moment and be present.”
Keeping the event confidential went far beyond the venue and the phone restrictions. According to a guest who attended the star-studded celebration, the digital invitation included multiple security protocols, including an NDA. The couple released the wedding details in stages, first the date, then the city, but held the exact venue until hours before the ceremony. Guests learned only that they would be in New York City until the morning of the wedding, when the location was finally revealed.
Kelce described the night as emotional and fast-moving.
“It was just so magical, man. I wish it could have lasted even longer than it did. It felt like it just happened at a blink of an eye,” Kelce said.

He also praised Adam Sandler, who officiated the ceremony, saying he brought a personal touch to the moment.
“He has been just the f—— best person on this planet. For him to be up for getting ordained in the state of New York and marrying me and Taylor, and the way he did it in the very ‘Sandman’ style and giving us more than we could have ever imagined in that moment. Knowing that it was the biggest night of both of our lives, it was absolutely insane, man,” Kelce said.
The secrecy surrounding the buildup to the nuptials lifted once the couple tied the knot. A marquee outside the Manhattan arena lit up with the message JUSTT MARRIED, confirming the location after weeks of speculation.
Even with a long guest list and a global spotlight, almost nothing leaked from inside the wedding.
Since tying the knot, the couple have been spotted out and about, including at the California wedding of Kelce’s teammate, JuJu Smith-Schuster. Kelce has also returned to the field for practice with the Chiefs.
