A man suspected of killing an approximately 50-year- old man in a hatchet attack in Bay Ho was in custody Tuesday. Police responded to a call about a fight between two men around 4:50 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Santa Fe Street and Damon Avenue and found a man on the street with multip le lacerations to the head, according to a San Diego Police Department statement. The man died from his injuries, the SDPD said. Officers surrounded a parked travel trailer nearby, where the suspect was located, and arrested Larry Raymond Rodriguez, 39, without incident, police said. The relationship between the men and the motive for the attack was not known, police said. A girl believed to be the suspect’s daughter was taken into protective custody.
