A freeway shooting on northbound Highway 101 in San Carlos caused a massive traffic backup Sunday evening, shutting down all northbound lanes for around two hours.The shooting happened around 5 pm Sunday on northbound Highway 101 south of Holly Street, per the CHP, and as reported by NBC Bay Area.An unidentified suspect reportedly fired on a black Infiniti sedan, and no one was seriously injured. The Infiniti was being driven by a 25-year-old driver, and two passengers, ages 22 and 17, were in the car at the time.As NBC Bay Area reports, it was unclear to investigators whether the car was directly targeted or was caught in some crossfire.One victim in the Infiniti was reportedly grazed by a bullet on the hand, and another suffered a back injury in the incident.Traffic was redirected for two hours onto SR 82, and traffic was backed up down the Peninsula on northbound 101.
