A person of interest was in custody after two people were shot, one fatally, on the west side early Monday morning.The incident took place around 12:55 a.m. Monday in the 3000 block of Bayside Drive at the Mariners Village Apart ments near the I-465/I-74 interchange.Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers arrived at the scene and found victims, a man and a woman, suffering gunshot wounds.Medics rushed the victims to a hospital in critical condition, but unfortunately, the man later died.A person of interest was in custody, IMPD confirmed, but their role in the shooting was unclear.Anyone with information on the shooting was asked to contact Det.
