Update – Officer Dymock released from hospital following Saturday shooting; slain officer’s funeral announced

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — According to the Columbia Police Department, Officer David Dymock has been released from the hospital after he and fellow Officer Chris DeLong were involved in a shooting with a suspect Saturday morning.

Visitation for Officer DeLong will be held Thursday at the Dunbar Funeral Home, 3926 Devine St., from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
His funeral will be held Friday at the Riverland Hills Baptist Church, 201 Lake Murray Blvd., at 11 a.m.
In a post on social media, CPD asks that the community continues to keep Officer Dymock and his family in their prayers. “The road to recovery continues, and we know the support surrounding him will mean so much in the days ahead,” reads the post.
