Kokomo Blueblacks prepare for inaugural football season KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) — A minor professional football club will begin play in Kokomo in 2027. The Kokomo Blueblacks, members of the Central Midwest Football League, will play their first game against the Freeport (Illinois) Lions at 6 p. m. April 10 at Titan Stadium. The facility is at Taylor High School, 3739 E. Howard County Road 300 South near Kokomo. Jaci Merchant, the franchise’s first general manager, spoke Friday morning on “News 8 Daybreak” about her new role.
