INDIANAPOLIS Governor Mike Braun signed an executive order giving special paid leave to Indiana state employees whose homes were destroyed or badly damaged by recent storms.Eligible workers can take up to 15 paid workdays to de al with their housing situation. The leave covers the period from Aug.11 through Sept.19, 2026.State employees serve Hoosiers every day, and some are now facing the difficult work of recovering from severe damage to their own homes, Braun said.
