Fort Worth Police said they have arrested two men in connection with armed robberies connected to Facebook Marketplace transactions. Police said on Saturday, August 15, officers responded to a series of armed robberies connected to those transactions. Fort Worth Police said in a press release that the arrests were the result of a team effort with Central Patrol, the Real Time Crime Center (RTCC), Directed Response Unit (DRU), FLOCK technology, and Robbery Detectives. Officers were able to identify a silver Honda sedan matching the suspect vehicle description. The same day, officers detained 21-year-old Jeremiah Ross when they said they saw him running with a firearm, and 20-year-old Davontate Ashley was detained during what police described as a “high-risk traffic stop.” Investigators determined the two were involved in the robberies, and stolen property was recovered during a search warrant.
