Carrollton-Farmer Branch ISD middle school students were evacuated on Thursday afternoon. Students and staff at Blalack Middle School were evacuated and relocated after the alarm was triggered by carbon monoxide, according to CFISD. The fire department told students and staff not to re-enter t he campus. Everyone was transported to Standridge Stadium for dismissal, according to school officials. Students were on air-conditioned buses, and lunch and water were provided, according to the statement. Parents picking up students should remain in their cars and should not walk to the stadium. Buses will run late due to the evacuation, and parents should contact the school if they would like to pick up their bus rider, CFISD said in the statement.
