A video shared on social media shows an SFMTA officer involved in a physical altercation with an irate driver who had just received a parking ticket on Treasure Island, and she had to be pulled away several times by other officers.San Francisco authorities are investigating a physical altercation in volving an SFMTA parking enforcement officer on Treasure Island after video of the confrontation spread on social media. The fight happened Tuesday and involved the officer, a woman who was apparently being cited, and at least one other person who was recording the incident, as KTVU reports.The video shows the woman approaching the officer and shoving a ticket toward the officer. The two women then confront each other again, exchanging additional blows before they are separated.SFMTA told KTVU that it is working with the San Francisco Police Department on the investigation. The agency did not provide additional details about what led to the fight or what happened immediately beforehand.“Parking Control Officers have one of the toughest jobs in the city as they enforce our parking laws to ensure that our streets remain safe and functional,” SFMTA Streets Director Viktoriya Wise said. “Violence against anyone in our city, including SFMTA employees, is unacceptable.”In a follow-up video, an SFPD police officer tells the person who recorded the confrontation that they could face misdemeanor charges for battery and delaying SFMTA officers from performing their duties.
