A New Jersey man was indicted on murder charges on Wednesday after strangling his daughter to death in June, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office. According to prosecutors, Franklin Township officers responded to a home on East Avenue at around 6:16 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, where they tried to save the life of 40-year-old Devin Hall. The suspect, Dennis J. Hall, 71, remained at the scene and admitted to officers at the time that he had strangled her, prosecutors said. The officers arrested him. Devin Hall was taken to a nearby hospital where she died the next day on June 12, officials said. An autopsy confirmed that Devin Hall died from asphyxiation, according to officials.
