COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– According to the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, South Carolina will receive more than $245 million as a result of the settlement.
Officials with the AG’s office say, “significant portion of the allotment will be used for services aimed at addressing young
people’s mental health issues.”
In a statement, State Attorney General Alan Wilson writes, “this settlement doesn’t undo the damage that has been caused, but it’s a strong step in preventing the harms caused by social media to future generations of young people.”
