If nothing else the council should listen to the police chief’s concern that by adding affordable housing in the Bonanza area will add traffic that could make an already congested area a real dangerous situation because there are no shoulder or bus lanes for emergency vehicles to use to get to th e hospital or to respond to a situation at one of our schools. To people who say tenants will walk to work, I say that is a pipe dream as tenants with loaded groceries for example or jobs even a mile from their homes will use cars, especially during winter months.
