Motorcyclist Cited for DUI Related to Aug. 21 Deadly Crash in NW Lincoln

Lincoln Police Cruiser (Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Aug. 25)–Police have cited a man following Friday night’s deadly crash involving two motorcycles in northwest Lincoln.
According to an LPD crash report, 29-year-old Joshua Leymaster of Lincoln has been cited for DUI, after he submitted
a preliminary breath test that showed a blood-alcohol content of .133. The crash involved two motorcycles near NW 1st Street and West Grand Drive, where 33-year-old Dillon Williams of Pleasant Dale was heading south on NW 1st and tried to pass Leymaster’s motorcycle, but clipped that motorcycle’s front tire and both men lost control.
Williams was taken to the hospital, where he died a few hours later. Leymaster suffered minor injuries. The accident report says Williams was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Police believed both men were under the influence of alcohol during the crash.
