BATON ROUGE mdash; The Southern University Jaguars kick off their football season this weekend on the road against the Alabama State Hornets.nbsp;Saturday's game will be the first time the Jags will be led on the field by head coach Marshall Faulk. Faulk, a former NFL running back, was hired by Sou thern in 2025 after the firing of Terrence Graves following a 1-6 start to last season.Ahead of Saturday's 2 p.m. game in Montgomery, Faulk is expected to provide an update on the team's preparations after Tuesday morning's practice.
