Regina "Gina" Bos (Courtesy of 411gina.org)LINCOLN–(KFOR Aug. 24)–One of the longest outstanding missing person cases under investigation by Lincoln Police is back in the forefront, after LPD confirmed Monday morning they received a new lead that prompted additional investigative work on the cas e in July and August. The case involves the disappearance of 40-year-old Regina “Gina” Bos, who went missing after she left Duggan’s Pub off of 11th and “K” Street in downtown Lincoln early on the morning of Oct. 17, 2000 and never returned home. While the results of the additional investigative work in July and August are not yet known, investigators continue to follow the information and determine where it may lead. “Because this remains an active and ongoing investigation, LPD is not releasing specific details about the methods being used to protect the integrity of the investigation and respect the privacy of the family,” LPD Capt. Ben Miller told reporters on Monday. Regardless of when they were reported, Capt. Miller said LPD continues to work on missing person cases, by accessing new technology and forensic capabilities. “Those advancements can provide new opportunities to examine information and evidence in ways that were not possible when the investigation began,” Miller added.
