An 80-year-old Manitowoc woman was injured Friday after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in a marked crosswalk, according to police.The crash happened around 5 p.m. Friday at Waldo Boulevard and North 14th Str eet. Manitowoc police and fire crews responded to the scene for a report of a crash involving injuries.Investigators said the woman was crossing the roadway in a marked crosswalk when she was hit by a vehicle driven by a 61-year-old Manitowoc woman. Police said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.Police reminded drivers that Wisconsin law requires motorists to yield or stop for pedestrians crossing in marked or unmarked crosswalks at intersections. ...read more read less
