When students at four schools in Philadelphia go back to class on Monday, they will have speed cameras in full effect for added safety, the Philadelphia Parking Authority said. The four speed cameras will be located at: John B. Stetson Middle School: E. Allegheny Ave. (A to B Streets) Wid ener Memorial School: W. Olney Ave. (N. Broad to N. 16th) High School of the Future: W. Girard Ave. (N. 39th to N. 40th) William L. Sayre High School: Walnut St. (S. 58th to S. 59th) The speed cameras will be in full enforcement and do not have a warning period since they were put in place during a testing period this past April, officials said. The four sites were chosen based on crash data from 2019 to 2023, officials said. “Our school-zone speed cameras aim to protect students on their way to and from school.
