The body of a 42-year-old Lexington man was discovered in Lake Cumberland around 9:45 a.m. Sunday by the Russell County Search Rescue team, according to Russell County Coroner Mark Coots.According to Coots, Andy W. Schmidt's ca use of death was due to drowning, although toxicology results are pending. A preliminary investigation determines Schmidt was camping in the area with friends before the drowning incident.Schmidt was pronounced dead on-scene at 10 a.m. Sunday by the Russell County Coroner's Office.
