2 killed in car collision in Mays Landing; AG investigating, officials say

Two people were killed in a head-on car collision in Mays Landing on Saturday morning, the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office said.
The crash happened in the area of Route 50 and Third Street just before 8 a.m. on Saturday, prosecutors said.
According to the Hamilton Township Police Depar
tment, a stolen car was at fault in the crash, and one adult and three juveniles have been charged in connection to the incident.
Video posted to a public social media page that we have confirmed is part of the police investigation show a head-on collision between a Chevrolet Sedan and a Jeep. Both cars spun off the roadway after the collision.
The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office said that the Attorney General’s Office of Public Integrity and Accountability is investigating the crash alongside the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
The identities of the two people killed have not been released at this time, and no information on whether others were injured was released.
No further information was immediately available, including as to why the Attorney General’s office has gotten involved.
