NEW ORLEANS mdash; A Gonzales man was arrested Thursday in connection with the disappearance and murder of a New Orleans man.nbsp;According to the New Orleans Police Department, 68-year-old Alphonse Hogan Jr. was reported missing on Aug. 3 after he was last seen in his home along Lapeyrouse Street. Over the course of the investigation, police ruled the disappearance involved foul play.nbsp;Detectives eventually determined that Hogan was the victim of a homicide and reclassified this incident as such, developing 42-year-old Frederick Johnson as a suspect in Hogan's murder.On Thursday, Johnson was arrested on second-degree murder charges in Gonzales with the assistance of Louisiana State Police, the FBI and the Ascension Parish Sheriffrsquo;s Office.
