A raid at two Oakland residences last week resulted in the seizure of more than 3.8 kilograms of fentanyl — enough to potentially kill two million people — along with processing and packaging equipment, and five people were arrested.The search was carried out last Thursday by Alameda County Sher iff’s Office Narcotics Task Force detectives as part of an ongoing investigation, as KRON4 reports. Detectives had obtained warrants for two Oakland homes, one on the 2400 block of 13th Avenue and another on the 2700 block of 78th Avenue.Five people were arrested at the 13th Avenue residence, and detectives found $15,000 in bundled cash. At the 78th Avenue property, authorities searched an accessory dwelling unit and found what the sheriff’s office described as a sophisticated setup for processing and packaging fentanyl.The operation included multiple hydraulic kilo presses, along with blenders, sifters, scales, packaging materials, binders, cutting agents, scenting agents, and personal protective equipment.
