Miners The Miners girls soccer team took down Jordan 7-0 on Monday. Park City scored four first-half goals, adding three more in the second half for good measure. Hailey Olsen and Mallory Carter each had two of the Miners’ seven goals. Park City is 3-1 on the season and will face Highland next at home 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Miners girls tennis team fell to rival Wasatch 4-1 last Monday. Park City has some time off before next facing Murray on Sept. 3. Wasatch High School The Wasatch girls soccer team took down Desert Hills 2-0 on Saturday. Both of the Wasps’ goals came from Savanna Hulme in the second half. Wasatch is 2-2 and will take on Provo at 7 p.m. Tuesday at home. The Wasatch girls tennis team is 3-2 on the season after defeating Park City last Monday. The Wasps dropped their first two matches to Lehi and Alta since defeating Westlake, Maple Mountain and Park City. Wasatch will take on Cottonwood at home 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Deer Creek High School The Deer Creek football team lost their inaugural football game to Mountain Crest 49-0 on Friday. The Riverhawks will try to get their first win against Hillcrest at 7 p.m. on Friday on the road. The Deer Creek girls soccer team fell to Desert Hills 2-1 at home on Friday. The Riverhawks are 1-2 after winning their inaugural game against Hillcrest. Deer Creek will take on Mountain View on the road at 7 p.m. Tuesday. North Summit High School  The North Summit football team took down Enterprise 14-13 on the road Friday in the Braves’ season opener. While North Summit trailed 7-0 at halftime, second half rushing touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters by Jaden Rowser and Knox Woolstenhulme, respectively, put them over the top. Enterprise’s failed two-point conversion attempt, after they scored with under two minutes left, lost them the game. The Braves will next take on rival South Summit at home 7 p.m. on Friday. The North Summit girls soccer team took down Gunnison Valley 5-0 at home last Tuesday in their season opener. The Braves scored three first-half goals and two second-half goals. North Summit senior Brielle Hansen had a hat trick in the win. The Braves will next face American Prep West Valley at 3 p.m. Tuesday on the road. The North Summit girls volleyball team took down Ogden three sets to none on Saturday at home. The Braves are 7-1 and will next face Carbon on the road at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.  South Summit High School The South Summit football team took down Duchesne 18-13 on Friday at home in the Wildcats’ season opener. South Summit led Duchesne 12-7 at halftime, with each team scoring six in the second half. Wildcats quarterback Ian Mair led the team with two passing touchdowns in the win. South Summit will take on rival North Summit at 7 p.m. Friday on the road. The South Summit girls soccer team fell to Beaver 2-1 at home last Monday. The Wildcats are 1-2 this season. South Summit has time off before facing the Utah Military Academy on Sept. 1.  The South Summit girls volleyball team fell to Juab three sets to one last Tuesday. The Wildcats took the first set, dropping the next three. South Summit will face Tabiona on the road at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.  The South Summit girls tennis team fell to Juab 5-1 last Tuesday. The Wildcats one win came at two singles from junior Berlynn Evans, who defeated her Juab opponent 6-4, 6-2. South Summit faced St. Joseph and Union last Wednesday and Monday, respectively.
