A new project is taking shape in one of Alamo Heights’ last empty lots. San Antonio firm Fulcrum Development is building a two-story, 20,800-square-foot shopping center at 6333 Broadway that could welcome its first tenants by fall 2027.Although it’s near businesses like Honchos House of Churros and Alamo Barber Beauty Supply, the 6333 Broadway development will be in a largely residential neighborhood. Still, the land is likely familiar to Alamo Heights residents. Each year, it hosts the Papa Noel Christmas Trees lot.Fulcrum’s renderings show a rectangular facade using mostly mixed bricks. The building largely takes its cues from midcentury modern architecture, hoisting its retail space with Le Corbusier-style pilotis.
