People are being urged to avoid the area of two locations around Temple University in North Philadelphia due to reports of shots fired, the university said through its emergency alerts system. The first report of shots fired occurred off-campus at the 1700 block of N. Gratz Street just before 11 p.m., the university said on social media. NBC10 was on the scene to find at least three shell casings marked for evidence, as well as a bullet hole in a yellow car’s windshield. The university put out a second alert for shots fired at the 1900 block of N. 9th Street at 11:24 p.m. Police are investigating both incidents and people are being urged to avoid the areas.
