Aug 17, 2026
The Park City Rotary Club’s Running of the Balls will return Monday, Sept. 7, as part of Park City’s annual Miners Day celebration.
More than just a Park City tradition, Running of the Balls is a community fundraiser benefiting Park City Rotary scholarships, community programs and grants a
warded to local nonprofit organizations.
Anyone can purchase a numbered ball for a chance to win prizes while supporting the Park City community. One ball is $10, three balls are $20, eight balls are $50 and 20 “huge balls” are $100.
Participants can also purchase a Silver Strike Ball for $100. Only 200 Silver Strike Balls are available, and the winning ball will receive a $3,000 Fly, Stay and Play travel package.
Then there’s the Big Ballers Club, $375 for an individual or $550 per couple. Big Ballers receive a Silver Strike Ball, 20 Running of the Balls entries, VIP access to the Big Baller Lounge at The Cabin on Main Street, breakfast buffet, two drink coupons, exclusive swag and prime seating for the Miners Day Parade, which is in its 130th year.
Local businesses, nonprofits, community organizations, clubs, families and groups can enter the Miners Day Parade via online registration at parkcityminersday.org. The parade is free to watch and open to everyone.
Main Street and Park Avenue will be closed from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the parade, so spectators should plan ahead and allow extra time to get into town.
