Police are looking for a black tow truck that fled the scene after striking and killing a man in South Philadelphia on Sunday night. The hit-and-run occurred at the intersection of 26th Street and Penrose Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night. The man’s name has not been revealed at t his time, but he has been identified as an unhoused man who is known in the area, according to Philadelphia Police Inspector DF Pace. The tow truck driver dragged the man for about 35 to 40 yards before the man was left on the roadway, Pace said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Pace added.
